So far so good

So far so good. I've set up my account after 2 days of originally signing up for the free service. I love the fact that there is a cPanel but it is not as complete as a paid one, of course. No banners and a free domain? Sounds good to me, seems there is no catch so far

Good host but shutting down

I've been with them for more than a year now, and to be frank, they are amazing. I love that hosting but the bad news is, they are shutting down their hosting after december.

Great Host!

I've been with StoneRocket for 6 months now with no problems at all, compared with the other free hosts out there. I've tried some of the other higher-rated hosts listed in the directory here and they don't seem to offer all the features that StoneRocket offers (some don't havre cPanel, some don't have user support forums, some don't enable all the PHP features that StoneRocket allows).

StoneRocket Rocks!

StoneRocket is a very dependable, fast host with all the features I need for web hosting (FTP, PHP, MySQL, cPanel Softaculous script installer: Wordpress, Joomla, myBB, openCart, SMF, phpBB, Drupal, etc. etc.). No problems encoutered so far.

Most Reliable Free Hosting

Well, I'm with StoneRocket since a year and extremely satisfied with the service and Support as well as. I don't understand why so many negative reviews but I personally used/using 3 more hosts and definitely rate StoneRocket the max. I yet never found any downtime. I never received any downtime report(from pingdom) in last one year. The best thing is that they provide a huge bandwidth (15GB) for basic user which is good enough, instead of giving useless disk spaces which hardly required for most users, who are looking for a FREE hosting. And the advanced package gives user 25GB bandwidth and 1000 MB disk spaces which may fulfill all kind of requirement. The MySQL, PHP runs faster than any other FREE hosting. And the support forum is friendly and faster than any other. So I would vote for StoneRocket only!

Great web host

I've been using StoneRocket for over a year now. True, there were problems with server downtime about a year ago, but I haven't noticed any such problems at all this year. StoneRocket is a relatively small hosting provider. This makes it easier to manage the host, address users' problems efficiently, and keep out the spammers. To sign up for an account you have to make at least 10 "quality" posts in their forums, quality being determined by the moderators - again another effective way of keep the spammers out. Once you have an account all that's needed to keep it alive is to check their forums periodically for notices regarding account cleanups. StoneRocket is a very solid, stable host. They've found a model that seems to work and are sticking to it without making too many drastic changes. Most support requests are answered satisfactorily in their forums, although it make take a couple of days for their staff to get round to responding.

Exellent Webhost

StoneRocket is an excellent Webhost and I can certainly recommend it from every point of view. In order of importance to me, I had a Website up and running within days of posting. There are only eleven quality posts necessary for getting a Website, and then one does not need to post any longer, except for checking in now and then to see what is happening. During my period with StoneRocket I have not seen it crashing once. I invite anyone to join up and see for themselves how fast the servers are and how easy and fast it is to get quality free Website space.

Why so many bads reviews?

I have been using stonerocket as my free web host since xmas 2010 and never has any problems with their hosting. Never seen any downtime, support is fantastic and I even got a free domain from posting on their forums. You should ignore all the negative reviews they probably never used stonerocket free hosting and run a free hosting that is not as good as stonerocket and their bitter about it. Go Stonerocket 10/10
