Restrictive free web hosting provider rating

I'm really dissapointed by this web hosting provider. I have been using their services for couple of months, but suddenly I was not able to add any image to my posts and pages (I had WP website). They said they imposed abuse filters because of a lot of back links from the free accounts, but they should differentiate between ordinary and abusive web sites hosted by them. Therefore, after long discussions with their support team (support indeed), I have decided to stop using their services in the future, as there are a lot of other decent providers on the net.

unlimited bandwidth? rating

I have a free site with atspace with unlimited bandwidth but once traffic builds up they close it unless I pay money: We understand that such limitation is not placed anywhere on our website, but our Management has decided that your hosting account is generating many times more than the traffic which normal website will generate every month, for that reason they have closed down the account, since this is not the first time when such problem occurs with your hosting account. The only way how you can receive access to your shared hosting environment is to upgrade to any of our paid web hosting plans. & Please note that your hosting account was blocked, because it produced more than 5 Gigabytes of monthly traffic and due to last decision of our Management, we have considered to close down your hosting account. Excellent support rating

Atspace support is excellent. They assisted me with changing mx records so that I could use Google Apps with my basic hosting. I also have free web hosting account for my wife and it's always up. I highly recommend this cost effective web host. Charles

This hosting is unacceptable rating

Don't waste your time. Server speed is great,but uptime not. Server is down every 30 min. Support is poor.

ATSPACE rating

I have had an enterprise account with ATSPACE for over a year now, and in the past 2 months they have been having a lot of problems. This equates into my having a lot of problems, as I have about 15 websites hosted though them. I have contacted them several times, and they seem to respond but the problems continues to crop up way too frequently. If this doesn't change soon I am going to have to look for another host.

I don't know what is happening! rating

I installed phpbb on my website,but it kept telling me that the version is outdated.So I installed the newest version.Tomorrow morning,I tried to get on my site but I couldn't ,so I wantrd to see what is happening with their site but it told me that "This Account Has Been Suspended. Please contact the billing/support department as soon as possible.".Now I can use ftp and my site,but still can't get into the website,and they suspended my acc for no reason!

Atspace rude rating

Seems Atspace is up again. I had one foot out the door when things started working again. Next time i'm ready to leave much earlier. What annoys me most is that Atspace never explains what's going on. I would have accepted any explaination as long as it would made sense. "Oups. We screwed up something, but we're lazily working on it. brb one month."

Shocking rating

It's been 95% down in the past month and a half. First I moved my website from their old 50Mb hosting to the new cloud environment which worked fine for short period of time, but now they're both down most of the time. I can log into my admin pages, see the files and manage them, but my website is constantly down. I guess I'll give them another couple of weeks, and if it doesn't get better I'll move on.

Chukar: Reviewer Country I have been unable to open our chapter website AT ALL for several weeks. Every time I try, I get "Unable to Connect" or "The connection has timed out". Until several weeks ago, this rarely occurred. Now it's ALL the time. So something changed back in late April - early May, and it really screwed things up.

Lot's of recent down time

I've used atspace for about 6 months. Used to get an occassional outage and accepted is as the price to pay for free hosting. But lately the outages have been chronic. Pretty frustrated since this is the peak period I wanted my site accesible to visitors.

Does Atspace Outsource their servers?

Patrons report numerous "unable to access server" messages when trying to visit our website. I have verified this myself. This may occur most anytime, but is particularly chronic during weekends. Connections appear to be easier at the start of the week. Contacting Atspace Support rarely produces results. Contacting Zettahost Support takes several days to get results, but the problems resume during the weekend. I am wondering if Zettahost is outsourcing Atspace servers to clients paying a fee and the data volume they send from Atspace servers causes website connection failures. Whatever the cause, if your want others to have reliable accessibility to your website then seriously heed my caution to NOT use Atspace.

In top 10 rating

If I have to rate atspace.com I'd definitely put them in top 10 of the best hosting providers. I've never seen free hosting plan with all features enabled that does not force any ads before. It is true that their traffic and disk space are not that big if you are on a free account, but other features compensate that very well. Free hosting plan is good enough for small business sites as well.
